About Kate

Hi! I'm Kate!

I was raised in the South (Summerville, SC, to be exact), spent time in the midwest meeting my husband, having babies, and starting a business, and recently have transplanted back to Atlanta. I can't stay away! I love my husband, son, and daughter, the ocean, horses, fresh raspberries, fall, blue glass, choral music (all music, but I minored in choral music, so I have a soft spot for it), ballet, books, travel, and spending time with friends and family.

You can find me nostalgically browsing through my albums fromago and forcing my husband to hear the stories behind each one (again....and again....and again). Every Christmas and Thanksgiving, my sister and I enjoy flipping through our old family photo albums, reliving those stories with lots of laughter. I like stories. That's about all there is to it, really. And nothing tells a better story than a photograph.

On any given day, you can find me in the backyard taking my children's week-by-week photos, trying desperately to capture every fleeting moment of their childhoods so I can relive them someday, when I know I will desperately miss seeing their sweet baby faces.

In case you haven't picked up on it, photos are precious to me. They're the ultimate time machine: freezing time now, and unfreezing the past over and over, whenever you need to revisit. They're priceless, and I think it is a great honor to be asked to make them for you.

I can't wait to tell your story!
